Good Morning from Paris

Wipe your eyes and brush the croissant flakes off your table. It’s the first Sunday of the Month (November 5th) which means that some of Paris’s great museums are there for you to visit – absolutely free!!!
These include the Louvre, Musee d’Orsay, Musee Quai Branly, Musee du Moyen Age et Thermes de Cluny, and Centre Pompidou. Other museums such as the Musee de la Vie Romantique, Musee Conacq-Jay and Musee Carnavalet are free Sunday mornings. Aside from that this is the month of photography so there’ll be photo exhibits throughout Paris (check out La Bibliotheque National, 58 rue Richelieu, 2eme, Tel. 01 53 79 81 12, Metro: Bourse or Pyramides -especially if you’re a fan of Doisneau, Ronis. Sabine Weiss, to name just a few of the photographers represented.) I picked a copy of the magazine So’Chic/Paris at a kiosque which lists the venues for several photography exhibits (although none of the lieus I mentioned in a previous post for the 14th arrond. The 14th Mairie annexe Metro: Mouton-Duvernet is where you can attend the inauguration Nov. 6th and pick up a guide to Montparnasse area ateliers.)
