New Year’s Eve in Paris: Splashy or Intimate?
Here’s a quote translated from the Club de Quatres Vents’ owner which is well worth repeating:
“New Year’s eve – there are those for and those against it. Some endure this night out, feeling obligated to ‘have a good time’. Then there are those that prefer the paper hats and the confetti, those that prefer champagne, foie gras, and formal dress. Some may hesitate between making it a big party night or an intimate gathering among friends. The main thing is to pass from one year to the next – without bitterness, without regrets and a smile on one’s face.”
Judging that the owner of the Club Les Quatres Vents has such a philosophical attitude about New Years eve combined with a fairly reasonable cost for the New Year’s Eve celebration (50 Euros per person includes two drinks), you may want to consider checking out the this club. Another thing I like about the Club Quatres Vents is the welcoming attitude toward visitors to Paris.
At a maximum capacity of 300 people, I can guarantee you that this Reveillon experience will be ‘cozy’.
Sweet and salty munchies will be served starting at 10 pm and champagne will be served up at the strike of midnight. Although I haven’t been there for the New Year’s Eve Party, we did pop in for the Halloween party. This Left Bank bar located near Metro: Odeon was jam packed. Still, the waitperson did her best to find us a table.
If you’d like to bring in the New Year in Paris with a beer in hand in a casual ambiance, this might be just the right place. Get there early and stake out your place at the bar – it’s sure to be jam-packed.
