Transport Yourself

Music is everywhere in France and you don’t necessarily have to stay within the confines of Paris to find great concert venus. On February 1st, Caen is going to be opening it’s new concert hall Le Cargo with the Gotan Project. I just checked out the Gotan Projects’ tango video so transport yourself to the tango city in your soul.

You can get to Caen very easily from Paris by hopping on one of the direct trains from the Gare St. Lazare station. Caen and Rouen are the two major urban centers in Normandy. Both were damage during World War II. Of the two, perhaps Caen was the worst hit. In spite of that, Caen has a dynamic cultural and sports following. Visitors to the D-Day beaches often stop in Caen to spend some time at the Caen Memorial which was gives an expansive perspective on World War II’s place in the history of war and reconciliation.

There’s also a topnotch soccer stadium!
