Is it really too early to be thinking about polo? Probably. Well, June is a LONG ways off, but not too early to visit my favorite hat shop in Paris where this hat was purchased:
Divine at 39 rue Daguerre, Metro: Denfert-Rochereau is where I go to look for hats - whether I need one or not. No one really needs a hat. Yet, wearing a hat, particularly for wedding ceremonies is one way of showing respect for the couple who is celebrating their marriage.
(It’s also not a bad idea when HRH Queen Elizabeth is attending the polo match).
Even if you don’t need to buy a hat, Divine is a fun shop. Nowadays many of the hats are sadly not made in France - a number of hats come from Florence. The one in this picture is actually English.

While you’re here, you can do some grocery shopping at the Rue Daguerre outdoor market. This is a great street in so many ways. Stop in at the Cafe d’Enfer in the evening for a taste of their devilishly rich chocolate cake. (across the street from Divine)

Whoa, indeed — we are impressed!
Yes. Your ‘one and only’ Paris Loguer travels in many guises from Polo matches to ‘made-in-Kampala’ hairwoven braids. Blonde, brunette, Auburn. Which reminds me - look for a post - soon about ‘fashion’ or more specifically - the clothes or style you choose as a ‘passport’ into various milieus.
[...] It’s really hard for me to walk past Divine my favorite hat shop on Rue Daguerre Metro: Denfert Rochereau without - at least- peeking in the window. With June weddings, polo - and horse racing season just around the corner - not to mention the exceptionally sunny weather this past week, it seems like everybody and her sister were trying on hats at Divine today. Is she our one and only Paris Logue-r? Whoa!
