You would think during the Christmas holidays, strikes would be put on hold – but such has not been the case this year (2008). Transportation strikes throughout France have thrown a wrench in plans for Christmas shopping. Up until recently the RER B line (which connects Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris) was affected by the strikes – but the line has reopened today according to Le Parisien.
However, if you plan on taking a train to or from Gare St. Lazare (the line that services Normandy), be advised that this train station is still being affected by strikes. And, by the way, Happy New Year!
