If you’re in Paris between March 15th to March 18th, you may want to drop in on the Salon Mondial du Tourisme, Metro: Porte de Versaille, Hall 7.3.
Porte de Versaille is the convention center complex which houses Paris’s huge spring Foire de Paris, the Paris fair as well as the biannual car show.

It’s hard to believe that if you’re living in Paris, you could possibly be thinking about being anywhere except Paris. Even the most beautiful city (like any beautiful woman) can become old - if you see her day in and day out. I don’t think any Parisian ever ‘falls out of love with the city’ but the aggravation of earning a living, battling traffic, bureaucracy, office politics, and sometimes simply drizzly weather is enough to start longing for blue skies and the sound of thundering waves.

For foreigners living in Paris, the Salon Mondial du Tourisme will also have many stands offering information on France’s major cities and regions including Caen, for example in Normandy.

There’ll be opportunities to taste foods from different countries, take a look at a Malien desert dweller’s tent, meet Malien musicians and artisans. Fashion shows including Almen Gibiri’s ‘indigenous chic’ will be occurring at different times during the four day event.

Malaysia will be a featured country as it celebrates its 50th anniversary of independence. Romania and Bulgaria will also be featured as the EU’s newest members.

For more info, you can visit the Salon Mondial ’s site.
Tickets cost 8.50 Euros and can be purchased at FNAC.
Dates are: 15 March to 18 March
10 am to 7 pm Daily
Thursday March 15, and Friday 16 evenings: until 9 pm.
