Paris Train Travel

It’s so easy to take a train from Paris. The trains normally leave on time. It’s easy to get to most train stations by using the Metro station or bus lines.

The SNCF, France’s rail service has been making train travel even more enticing this summer with some sweet deals on their new TGV (bullet trains) connecting Paris to Strasbourg, Reims, Metz and Nancy.

If you’re in Paris, you might still be able to snag a last chance deal: 15 Euros between August 23-26th ‘07 for a 2nd Class ticket to one of these four destinations from Paris. But you’ll have to act fast!

Meanwhile, another trip to consider would be the inauguration of the new Paris-London route into London’s St. Pancras station on November 14th. SNCF’s ‘Nasty Price Promotion’ will get you from Paris to London and back again for a nasty 77 Euros.

You can also check out SNCF for some last minute summer vacation deals going to La Rochelle, Toulouse and Marseille - all are great choices for a quick weekend and a peak at points south of Paris.

Personally, I wouldn’t need much nudging to go to either La Rochelle or Strasbourg - two super cities for a summer weekend.
