Montparnasse train station caught in its no man’s land time warp. A good place to catch a circle in a square.

Use the Montparnasse station for your gateway to points West like Brittany and south to Bordeaux. You can easily hop on a train in the morning, do a little wine-tasting in Bordeaux, and get back in time for ‘Nuit Blanche’ in Paris. For ‘White Nights’ in Paris. (See www.paris.fr for details about the White Nights celebration that will be held simultaneously in cities throughout Europe and the rest of the world. In Paris, the action will center around the #14 Metro line.

Anyone going to Paris between November 1 2007 and March 31 2008? I have a voucher for the Hotel Lutetia, 2 night stay for 2 with full Buffet breakfast which I’ll sell for $600 American. Great deal.

I have gone from Paris to Bordeaux for a one day tasting trip. Although I would have enjoyed spending the night in Bordeaux, taking the train return from Montparnasse is a great option when you are pressed for time or money.
