Paris Hotel Selected: Top 20 European Hotels for under 100Euros

The Paris two-star Hotel des Mines in Paris’s Latin Quarter made the Sunday London Times Online Top 20 List for Best European Hotels to be had for under 100 Euros .

Hotel des Mines is located on Boulevard Saint Michel near the Luxembourg Gardens which is a great location if your a Left Banker at heart. However I’m not 100 percent convinced that Hotel des Mines necessarily represents the ‘Best’ that Paris has to offer at under 100 Euros.

To begin with, if you look at the current rates (in US $)for this hotel on Trip Advisor, we’re talking about $185 for a two-star hotel. There are plenty of budget hotels and hostels in Paris - and certainlly I’d like to hear the opinions of other travelers who’ve found a great Paris hotel for under $100 U.S. Now, that would be news.

To date, I’ve found the one-star Floridor at Place Denfert Rochereau which has received some good words from French travelers. The best thing about the Floridor is the price is truly a bargain at well under 100 US Dollars. Not only that, but the Floridor appears to have receive high review ratings in spite of being a humble one-star establishment. Also, a number of Paris hostels (such as OOPS!) actually have single or double rooms available (as well as dorm style units which are the cheapest). We’re waiting to hear more from Parislogue readers. The final vote is not yet in on the ‘best budget hotels in Paris’ for under 100 U.S. Dollars as opposed to Euros!
