Hunting Season opens early on Parisians

It’s normal when you get back to town to ask how other Parisians spent their summer holidays. I didn’t expect to hear my hairdresser (who goes to Normandy for her holidays) tell me that she got shot in the leg on Bastille Day.
She said, “My partner and I were on his motorbike when I felt my leg begin to sting. My partner saw the house where he thought the shot came from. We’ve filed a complaint but haven’t heard any news yet - you know how it is in small towns! I had to go to the hospital on the 14 July so it was pretty hard to find anyone to take care of me. The bullet went straight through, and cut through some muscle. Which is why I’m still limping a bit.”
