High Five! C’est So Paris

campaign-1.jpg
It’s not every day thatLe Parisien takes its hat off to an Anglophone website wooing English-speaking tourists, so ‘Chapeau’ or ‘Hats Off’ to C’est So Paris.com for its two How to Speak Parisian videos ( I’ve noticed for the past few weeks, ever since president Nicolas Sarkozy’s foray into the Amerique profonde, American breakfasts and websites geared toward Shakepeare’s langue are getting bigger play.)

In French slang, the expression ‘faire un lapin’ or ‘to make a rabbit’ translates as being ’stood up’. The image is worth a thousand explanations.

Whether this site created by the French Tourism board will succeed in bringing back some British visitors who’ve deemed the City of Love to be the City of Rude, remains to be seen.

In the meantime, the Rugby World Cup ad campaign for Rugby in the ‘City of Love’ definitely shows that Parisian sense of humor is totally off the charts.
