Is it too late to hop on a plane, get to Paris in time for Christmas and stay through for New Years Day? Apparently not. I just checked out some of the airfare deals from LAX to CDG. You can imagine my shock to see that you can fly from LAX to CDG for a mere $316. Well, it’s not REALLY $316. Remember that this is the listed price BEFORE taxes. There are some hefty taxes to think about such as the FUEL SURCHARGE ($150), the airport tax ($123) and security taxes which brings your round-trip flight to $672. Still and all, this is a pretty good deal at the height of the Christmas season. You might be spending about the same to fly from LAX to ROC? Another thing you’ll want to be sure to consider are flight connections. How many stops must you make before you get to Paris? If you are changing planes in Amsterdam, I would strongly recommend ample time to make connections. This is not the ‘queen of connection efficiency’ when it comes to airports. Happy traveling if you do decide to be impulsive and jump on a plane for Paris. What better place to spend New Year’s Eve?
