Yesterday, France’s prime minister wrote on his blog site www.blog-fillon.com: he wasn’t sure that with his new responsibilities as prime minister that he’d have the time to keep writing his blog on a daily basis. It’s a job that he doesn’t want to delegate. Over 40 people posted comments to his post - saying - please, can’t you squeeze in the time? Okay, we can understand maybe you wouldn’t have time to post EVERY day, but how about now and then?
Okay, what could be more cool than a prime minister who blogs every day? It creates a real connection because this is the man writing his own words - and not being scared to use his own words - unlike American style politics where every word uttered by a politician must first be analyzed and processed until you get the kind of pablum that ends up not saying anything, but offending no one. The title of Fillon’s blog is “The French Can Stand the Truth” or ‘Les Francais peuvent supporter la verite’.
I’d like to suggest to Prime Minister Fillon to take turns blogging with President Sarkozy. Blogging and jogging.
If Catherine the Great could write a gazzillion letters and still find time to rule Russia, there must be time to post a few blogs. If you agree with me that Prime Minister Fillon should keep on blogging, let’s let him know that we want to see more!
