Outdoor Paris Restaurants: Following Bond, That’s Jean Bond Rafferty

Cafe d’Enfer didn’t make Town&Country Magazines list of places for outdoor dining (it’s more of a night spot), but not a bad place to hang your hat after a visit to the Rue Daguerre outdoor market.

If you’re looking for spies, call James Bond. If you’re looking for an outdoor restaurant in Paris, start looking for Jean Bond Rafferty. This August’s issue of Town & Country includes her favorite choices for outdoor dining in Paris including Le Chalet des Iles in the Bois de Boulogne (mentioned in my romantic restaurants post).

She’s also given high marks to Les Ombres located at Paris hot new museum le musee du Quai Branly which focuses on African/Oceanic, Asian/Amerindian art, 27 Quai Branly, Tel. 01 47 53 68 00.

Another restaurant that’s piqued my interest is Le Saut du Loup, 107 Rue de Rivoli, attached to the Musee des Arts Decoratifs. Tel. 01 42 25 49 55. Judging from her remark that ‘all Paris is’ there, I think I’ll wait till the flurry of ’see and been seen’ has worn off. (As a general rule of thumb, museum cafes and restaurants are Paris’s little treasures - case in point, the restaurant, tea/salon at Musee d’Orsay. Parisians take full advantage of these restaurants (sometimes located on upper floors of the museum - i.e. the Louvre).

Hi Chris,

Just an FYI, I’m getting a broken link above to the most romantic spots entry.

Thanks Kim for the ‘heads up’. That link should work now.
