Favorite Bus Routes

Several posts ago, I mentioned the #95 bus route that will take you from Montparnasse train station, past the Louvre and almost all the way to Montmartre.

Another bus we like to take is the #96 bus which leaves from the same Montparnasse bus depot (it’s the semi-circle located between Tour Montparnasse and the Gare de Montparnasse).
Before you catch a bus, be sure to take a look at the merry-go-round on the esplanade (which is decorated with Impressionist reproductions around its top). The half-price theater ticket kiosque is also located on this esplanade.

The #96 bus will take you over to Hotel de Ville (City Hall) on Rue de Rivoli and continue through to Le Marais (Metro stop: St. Paul). This is a nice way to get from the Left Bank to the Right Bank on a warm day if you don’t want to take the Metro.
