Cool Paris Restaurants/French food sites

In composing yesterday’s restaurant list, Places to Eat in Paris, of a few of our favorites, I came across some helpful sites if you happen to be in Paris:
Restoaparis.com lists restaurants alphabetically along with their phone number. They also have a listing called ‘coup de coeur’ which translates as ‘this one hit our heart’. I was delighted to find that one of Restoaparis’s ‘coup de coeur’ is in our neighborhood:
Les Elles, Metro: Alesia Tel. 01 45 40 43 36. You can check out their site for a detailed description.

The other site I mentioned in a previous post www.oubouffer.com which has an English UK counterpart (just click on the British flag to get there) gives restaurant descriptions of some of the restaurants I listed yesterday (there are more posts in French than English, but I think the translations are increasing). DininginFrance.com is also a good guide to the gudes.

Some of the other sites I visited, I noticed that the restaurant listings included some restaurants that have been closed for a number of years such as Pinocchios on Avenue du Maine (and that was no surprise!).

Chocolateandzucchini.com which I found via GourmetStationblog is simply scrumptious. (More on Gourmet Station in a future post!)

[…] This is one city where you’re probably better off using a restaurant guide, perhaps spending a bit more on one or two good meals, and snack on sandwiches or crepes rather than wasting your money on a mediocre restaurant. Tags: Dining Out, Tips & Tidbits […]
