Beyond Paris - The Landing Beaches

Extraordinary - electric blue skies - blazing sun - Kodacolor clipped lawns at the American Cemetery on a Tuesday in September. It is much warmer than many of the days we’ve visited in April, May or June.
Just like Versailles, perhaps the best time of day ot visit the American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach is the end of the day (around 4:30 or 5Ppm when taps are sounded and the American flag is lowered for the night). You can take a photograph of the grounds with barely a soul in sight.
