At the Airport: CDG

There is a new presence in the CDG arrivals lobby - taxi touts. They never used to be there but here’s just a reminder that if you do need to take a taxi, you should follow the signs to the taxi stand which is located just outside the airport arrivals lobby. I’ve never used the services of these taxi touts but you can be sure that you will be paying more and they may not necessarily belong to the taxi union. Taxis are one of the most expensive ways to get into Paris. The prices have increased so that if you fly in on an evening flight, it will cost you between 55 and 60 Euros for a drive to the Left Bank. Be sure and check out the Roissy Bus, the RER Metro line, or the Air France Shuttle bus first before using a taxi. The Montparnasse terminal for the Air France shuttle bus only runs until 9:30 pm which is why we ended up taking a taxi!
