If you haven’t visited the site (which I mentioned in a past post) CDGfacile.com or its English translation EASYCDG.com, be sure to bookmark this site for future reference.
You can try out the SNCF TVG which leaves from CDG’s Terminal 2 ( I haven’t tried this yet myself - we always take Le Cars de Air France shuttle which goes directly from CDG to Montparnasse for 14 Euros one way.
Thanks Alexander for bringing it to my attention that you needed more nuts and bolts info about catching trains - hope these links get you on the right train - fast!
My last post Planes, Trains, etc. was focused more on the pleasure of train travel - once you have your ticket (I booked my tickets over the net through www.voyages-sncf.com) You can book the tickets with a credit card, but you still need to either pick up your tickets at the station using one of the automated ticket distributors or go to a window (be sure to have the same credit card handy that you used to book the tickets (and know your four-digit code!)
