Happy Hour Alcoholic beverages in Paris ar EXPENSIVE, and so is beer. The best way to deal with these inflated prices is to take advantage of Happy Hours where beer is usually available for half price. Many cafes advertise Happy Hours in their windows. Some of the chain restaurants such as the Indiana Club offer Happy Hours (but I’m not sure if the prices aren’t already somewhat inflated. You’ll still end up paying between 3 and 4 Euros for a pint, but drink a little more slowly and stretch out your Happy Hour to Two Happy Hours. Happy Hours normally start between 4 and 5 pm and can last until 9 pm. Then it’s time for dinner.

One of the best prices I’ve found for beer in town is at the Montparnasse Big Panini Shop ( 9, Rue du Depart) Metro: Montparnasse You can have a small beer here for under 2 Euros. Add to that a 4-5 Euro Panini and you’ve got a meal under your belt.
