Getting a Paris Museum Pass: Paris Travel Tip #18

Buy a Two-Day or Three-Day Museum Pass
If you plan on visiting two or more museums while in Paris, the Paris Museum Pass really makes sense. (Another option is to buy a One Day Louvre Pass if you’re only going to visit that museum). For years, we waited in lines when a little bit of advance planning could have saved our visitors valuable time to do other things (like lingering over an aperatif in a cafe).

Pick up your Museum Pass at the Visitor’s Center (or at the FNAC bookstore), or buy it online before you go.

The Museum Pass allows you access to many of the major museums including the Louvre, the Rodin Museum and Musee d’Orsay. Just be sure to time your two-day purchase to avoid the days these museums might be closed (Mondays and Tuesdays). Also, kids are allowed free admission to many of these museums so don’t waste money if you don’t have to. You can also buy advance tickets for special temporary exhibits by going to the FNAC bookstore. (Here’s where you can buy tickets not only for museum shows, but concerts and opera as well.)
