Strike season begins!
Yes, once again it’s strike season. Now that the May holidays weekends are over, what better time to begin a strike? Therefore, Thursday, May 22nd, don’t expect train travel to be easy. Two out of three trains will be taken out of service. However, the Eurostar service from England to France should not be affected by the strike. The reason for this strike is labor union’s opposition to a new law which would require forty-one years of contributions to social security rather than forty before one can collect social security benefits.
