Nuits des Musees 2008

In half an hour, about 60 of Paris’s museums will be open to the public - for FREE. Some will stay open as late as 1 pm. The big problem is deciding where to begin. Talk about waiting to the last minute to decide.

For us, it’s going to be hard to choose between Les Invalides, the Louvre, the Petit Palais and Grand Palais, but I think the concert at Les Invalides accompanied with a sound and light show, plus a cavalry parade sounds like a winner. If you haven’t seen the Marie Antoinette film, tonight’s your chance to see a screening at Grand Palais - and also to gain free admission to the Grand Palais which is normally open for temporary exhibits. The Marie Antoinette exhibit is still going on.

I’m glad some of the museums will be open until 1 am because it will take that long just to visit a few.
