Bastille Day traffic:

Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13th are already classified as Red and Black high traffic days for France’s major autoroutes. Allow for extra travel time over the holiday weekend.
Note: As of July 1st, all cars must have a two items for roadside stops - a light-reflecting jacket and a triangular sign which needs to be posted behind the parked car. These items must be stored in the front of the car rather than the trunk. Police will begin randomly checking cars - now - and handing out 100 Euros fines in October.
